Last Summer I wanted put together a shoot for Pattern Magazine. I came up with the idea of FITF because I love nature and I wanted to really capture what it would look like to find someone that is truly immersed, but has a fairy tale edge to it. I also wanted to have this ultra female stance and express the emotions that women carry + finding kinship within the struggle + the freedom one feels knowing you're not alone.
I can't get enough of the stories that my mother use to read to me. It was like Grimm's Fairy Tales, but the stories were created for kids. ( The authors skipped the part about putting the witch in the oven in Hansel + Gretel.)
Needless to say, I didn't submit it, because I became to close to this series and wanted it for myself.
