Fearless Feature: Michele, late 50's | Indianapolis IN Boudoir Photographer

Fearless is a boudoir portrait series that features 40 women over the age of 30, where they share their tales of courage. The women who participate in the series share their struggles that they have overcome and now they’re celebrating, sharing, and inspiring their stories for those who are currently going through a struggle of their own to show that there is light on the other side. Here’s a participant who shares her story in her own words. 


Fearless means that you’re no longer afraid to be yourself. I’ve been afraid of being myself and afraid of what people think about me and I don’t want to do that anymore. Life is too short and I just want to let it go. This is me! You can like it or not! 
I wanted to do this photoshoot because I’ve always wanted to do this kind of thing and I’ve never done anything like this because of how my body is, and I’m a big girl and that used to be embarrassing to me. Not anymore. I’ve let that go. I want to be myself. 
You need to push yourself (past the fear). The fear will go away. Once you get there, you’ll get comfortable regardless of what it is that you’re doing. Don’t give up. I gave up a lot, but don’t do that. Just push yourself and do it whatever it is. 
I’ve decided that I’m going to be myself from now on. I’ve had some struggles with my health and I’ve overcome that. I’m going to live my life.
