Fearless is a boudoir portrait series that features 40 women over the age of 30, where they share their tales of courage. The women who participate in the series share their struggles that they have overcome and now they’re celebrating, sharing, and inspiring their stories for those who are currently going through a struggle of their own to show that there is light on the other side. Here’s a participant who shares her story in her own words.
Fearless means doing things you’re uncomfortable with, things you’re not quite sure that you’re going to be able to accomplish, but you still push through and see what you can do.
I wanted to do this photo shoot because it is something that I wasn’t sure I would feel comfortable doing. It’s beyond the scope of anything that I’ve done before and I love challenging myself to do something outside of what I’m capable of.
My advice to women who are too afraid to push past the fear is that everything good, for me, that has happened in my life has happened on the other side of fear.
In my life, there’s really nothing I’ve overcome to make me fearless. I’ve had a pretty fearless life. I’ve led my life experiencing things that scare me, so I’m always pushing that boundary of what I’m capable of.
